I’m a coffee-loving, homebody and homeschool mom of two, who is passionate about making sure that play is present every day. I have a Masters in Special Education with a specialization in Applied Behavior Analysis and am a licensed Special Education teacher in the state of Virginia and have a Board Certification in Behavior Analysis.
I taught special education and served as an assistive technology teacher for over 10 years in our local public school system before coming home to teach my own children. In the transition to homeschooling I realized that there is a need for parental support and community so I created the PLAY to Learn Method and began mentoring in the homeschool space.

My passion for learning through play began in my first year teaching and has evolved as I have had my own children.
No matter the age, there is one thing that has always been true in my years in education. Learning happens in the hands on moments, where kids are free to explore, laugh, experiment, and even make occasional messes.
